Juanes prepara temas inéditos para un nuevo disco en 2022
There is always an audience ready to hear new music from Juanes. The singer from Medellín,
Colombia surprised fans last year with the release of Origen, an album of covers he performed live of classic songs from Joaquín Sabina, Fito Paez,
Bruce Springsteen, and more.
“Those that marked the beginning of my love for music and that continue to be a map to which I return to remember who I am,
where I come from, and where I am going,” said Juanes after presenting his work.
Now, it seems his new goal is a new album for 2022. Sharing photos of him singing and testing instruments in the studio,
he said on his social media that “here I am recording a new album, new unreleased songs. This year comes with a lot of music.”
Juanes wanted to show that he is very involved in the composition and production process of his music. In the shared photos,
he appears playing acoustic and electric guitars, as well as inviting his collaborators to contribute their inspirations.
For now, fans don’t know more hints about the style that will define his music. Perhaps he will reveal some of the material this Summer,
when a performance is scheduled for July 1 at Madrid’s Noches del Botánico, where Pablo Alborán, India Martínez, Zucchero, and Carlos Vives, among others, will also perform.
“Working on the new music,” he posted on his Instagram, with videos without audio.
Born in 1972, Juan Esteban Aristizábal was a fan of genres like punk or metal when he was young.
Those were extreme sounds he listened to as an escape route to forget the violence that devastated his country.
At that time, he founded the band Kraken and made his first steps on the stage.
